Stiffness - The stiffer a string is, the more energy is absorbed by the string, the racquet and your arm. (FWIW: This is why so many people hurt themselves playing stiffer strings like polyester.)

Tension Loss tells you approximately how much tension the string loses after stringing before stabilizing.

Spin - Indicates the string's ability to generate spin on the ball, with higher ratings allowing for more topspin and slice potential.

Gauge tells you the width of the string. In general, the thinner the string, the lower its stiffness is, and the more comfortable it's going to feel on your arm compared to a thicker string of the same material at the same tension. The lower the gauge number is the BIGGER the string is (e.g. 16g is a thicker string than 17g). Because this is confusing and because some manufacturers call .125mm 17g and others call it 16L, we also list the Thickness in mm.

Material tells you what the string is made of - this contributes to its power, control, feel and the amount of spin you can generate. We stock multifilaments, Syn Gut, Polys and Co-Polys and order Natural Gut as needed
